One of the biggest mistakes I see entrepreneurs make when writing their own copy is over-editting and fearing their 5th grade English teacher surfacing from the computer and smacking their knuckles for breaking a rule in the English language.

Stop it! You need to write like you talk. That’s the best way to build rapport…and it makes writing a lot more pleasurable. Once you dig in your brain for those 5 syllable words you’ve lost your reader. This isn’t a place to show off your vocabulary. Just get in there, get it written, and get out.
