Magnify your creativity!

For those of us in the creative field, coming up with fresh ideas is sometimes an overwhelming task.  Especially if working under tight deadlines.  I always look to nature for starters.  If my clients give me no specific color palette, I may take a stroll outside and put a magnifying glass to some unsuspecting flower or rock.  One can see more detail in something so ordinary and color combinations are so striking that they give my projects a definitive creative edge.  If it is not color I am seeking, just a walk in the fresh air brings a different point of view.  It’s just another reminder to think outside of the box.

If you are undecided about what to do for your web design project, start by visiting websites related to your industry or service or visit competitor websites to see how and what information they are broadcasting.  Most times than not, you will get an idea of what not to do.  And, never, never plagiarize a website.  For web re-design projects, there is much more at stake.  You must first make an important call of why you are re-designing as there could be serious SEO ramifications with any change.  Contact me for a free consultation on your next web design project. 

Save Energy

I was curious when I first heard about “Green” websites and computers going “Green”.  Now come on…hardware can’t be eco friendly?  Can it?  As it turns out, yes. There’s a product called the “Eco-Button” which places your computer in stand-by or sleep mode which in turn saves electricity.  My community has an electronic recycling program for outdated equipment, printers, computers. Is your website hosted with a “green” company and saving resources for the future? Is your computer eco friendly? Recycle that old monitor! Go Green!

A website doesn’t have to be expensive to be effective.
