Today I am brainstorming more styles of quilt labels while my machines are purring along on today’s embroidery orders.

I want to offer labels for quilts that customers make or buy that memorialize the circumstances of their arrival - whether they are a gift from or to a special person, a celebration of a special occasion or whatever the reason.  Sometimes it is difficult to remember these details accurately years after the fact and a label makes sure all is preserved for posterity.

In my mind’s eye, these labels will be very custom and can even incorporate fabric from the quilt itself.  I love the idea of working closely with you to make the quilt label almost as special as the quilt.  So stay tuned as these details are worked out.  As always, I welcome any input you want to suggest.

Our most popular embroidery offering has just gotten better!

The Baby Lovies will be making their debut at the end of September. These lovies are a diminutive version of the family-favorite lovies that we have offered for years. The lovies will be offered individually and as sets.

I see many applications for these adorable lovies —

• smaller lovie for a newborn and the regular size for an older sibling
• regular size lovie for home and smaller size for travel
• baby size for small baby and regular size lovie to grow into

A customer recently pointed out that while we have lovely wedding labels we have nothing for Christening dresses. How embarrassing! We were quick to remedy that, and everyone is quite pleased with the result. 

My daughter pointed out that these are especially nice for heirloom gowns, as you can add a label on the slip or hem for every time the gown was worn. What a lovely way to keep the history and the gown together!
