In 1898 Morgan Robertson had his novel Futility published. The story was about a luxury oceanliner that hit an iceberg and sank, killing everyone on board. The ship’s name was the Titan. The month was April.

In 1914 Mr. Robertson wrote a story, Beyond the Spectrum. It was a futuristic story about a war between Japan and the United States. In the story the Japanese attack Hawaii in December. He described “sun bombs” that were powerful enough to destroy an entire city, and that erupted with a blinding flash of light.
In 1941 (notice how it is 14 reversed), the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. In retaliation, the United States bombed Japan with bombs that destroyed entire cities and created a blinding flash of light.
